I loved the first book but I did not feel that this book had the suspense that I loved in the first book. I liked the plot but it was not developed to its full potential. I did really like the characters Miller & Elias and the return to "Romancing the Stone" hike in the jungle had me dying laughing. There were some nice steamy romantic scenes with Miller and Elias but the story was missing that on the edge of your seat, non stop page turner excitement and suspense like the 1st story. I did see in the acknowledgements that Liliana was possibly going through some hard times when writing this story and don't know how that impacted the story or not. It was a nice read but nothing that got my blood going like book#1 and I feel like I lost my momentum. I hope the 3rd book in July is better.Product details

The dialogue between Miller and Elias is quick, hilarious, and smart. Love the developing action in the plot as Miller goes from romance novelist, to living her own adventure and falling in love with someone worthy of "hero" status and her heart. Great series, can't wait for more of the Gravediggers.
Love this series! As always, it is well written and you are sucked into the book right from the start. I couldn't put it down. It has relationships, lust, mystery and former Navy SEALs. Well worth reading.
2nd book in the series.
Miller and Elias. She doesn't believe in love even though she is a romance writer. He has no future he can make plans for. Yet they are drawn to each other.
Enter the drug cartel and adventure, daring and heroics ensues.
Her cranky persona in the mornings was funny and I like that he found it humorous.
J At just over 75% in and already sorry I bought this one. It's too silly and too much talk about sex and I really don't care about King Solomon's treasure nor do I care about any of the characters. I thought I was going to read about a woman desperately rescuing her brother instead of an Indiana Jones rerun.
Elias is part of the Gravedigger but is plotting to get Eve. Miller is a novelist and when she get a visit from some unwanted visitors she find out her brother has been following in her parents' obsession. Sparks already flying between Elias and Miller, Miller soon learns that Elias is the only one who can help her save her brother. I am loving this series and can't wait for next book!
Wow!!! I have been a fan of Liliana Hart a long time, and she still amazes me with her in depth research into her characters to bring them to life and into your heart. Take a chance and take the journey. I have always enjoyed books where the author can make your heart beat with adventure, love and holding your breath. Great characters and diverse moments.
This was the second in the gravediggers series and not nearly as good as the first. I got the feeling the author was "grasping for straws" to get it written. The book just didn't seem to have that smooth flow that
Keeps the story moving. And it definitely was not a " I can't put it down book". In fact I started another and switched between the two. I won't give up on the series yet.
